FAQ (Quick Reference)

I am an international graduate applicant. Will I need to submit an evaluation of my academic credentials?

It depends. The UCF College of Graduate Studies will evaluate all applicants’ credentials, UNLESS you are an applicant to:

If you are an applicant to any of the above programs, you will need to have your credentials evaluated by an external evaluating service. We will accept evaluations from either World Education Services, Inc., www.wes.org, or from Josef Silny and Associates, Inc., www.jsilny.com. These evaluations must be course-by-course evaluated. We also require that you submit official transcripts which include your marks sheet(s) and degree certificate(s).

To verify whether or not an outside evaluation is required for your specific program:

  1. Visit UCF's Graduate Catalog at http://www.graduatecatalog.ucf.edu/programs/
  2. Click on the specific program AND track (if applicable) you are applying to
  3. Click on "Application Requirements"
If an outside evaluation is required, you will see the following statement; "Applicants applying to this program who have attended a college/university outside the United States must provide a course-by-course credential evaluation with GPA calculation. Credential evaluations are accepted from World Education Services (WES) or Josef Silny and Associates, Inc. only."
