A strong spirit of collaboration has made UCF an attractive partner for many central Florida high-tech businesses that, in turn, have provided UCF students with real-world experiences.

UCF focuses its technical development on key institutes and centers that include the Institute for Simulation and Training, Center for Research and Education in Optics and Lasers, Florida Photonics Center of Excellence, Florida Solar Energy Center, Advanced Materials Processing and Analysis Center, Biomolecular Science Center, and the Nanoscience Technology Center.
